Encinitas Art Night returns Saturday, Oct. 17, with free exhibitions, live music and hands-on activities spread across eight locations connected by a free shuttle.

The fall edition runs from 6 to 8 p.m. at four city facilities: City Hall, the Encinitas Library, the Encinitas Community and Senior Center and Pacific View Arts Center, the North Coast Current reported. Four additional community venues are also participating: Off Track Gallery in the Lumberyard Shopping Center, Bliss 101, Mikey Kettinger Art Studio and the Encinitas Historical Society's 1883 Schoolhouse.

Admission and the shuttle are both free.

A fleet of shuttle buses will loop among five stops, linking the city venues and galleries so visitors can hop between them without moving their cars. The San Diego County Library funded the shuttle service, according to the city's Art Night page. The city recommends parking at the Community and Senior Center or the library to access the route.

The evening will include artist demonstrations and chances for visitors to create their own artwork, alongside the exhibitions and live music. Civic art exhibitions installed at three of the city venues will be on display through January 2027, according to the city's event listing. Brian Feretic's work is showing at City Hall, Brendan Kerr and Luis Murguia are exhibiting at the library, Milan DelVecchio has pieces in the library's Periodical Room, and Neil Brooks, Vicki Leon, Carrie Kelly and James Gunderson are showing at the Community and Senior Center.

The Encinitas Historical Society's 1883 Schoolhouse is also on the shuttle route. The society describes it as the oldest standing structure in Encinitas. Inside, visitors will find 1890s cast-iron student desks fitted with slates and chalk, a teacher's handbell and shelves of historic textbooks.

The Friends of the Encinitas Library and the San Diego County Library are listed as event partners. A full shuttle map and artist lineup are available at the city's Art Night page at encinitasca.gov.
